Conceived by Reave J. Dennison, a former tugboat crew member and documentary photographer based in British Columbia, the monograph features over 90 tritone images and silver gelatine prints. The series captures the beautiful but rugged landscapes, the people who labour in this coastal maritime industry, the unforgiving sea and climate, and the raw power of machinery. Dennison’s own anecdotes and descriptions permeate the book, adding personal insight and contemplation.
