As a member, what do I get?

Each month, you’ll receive a new museum-quality photobook, hand-picked for you by our team of expert curators and artists who love, study, and work in the photography industry. Sometimes, it’ll be a classic title every bibliophile should own; sometimes it’ll be a new release from an emerging artist who is poised to make big waves.

Can I see which books I’ll get?

On the fourth week of each month, we'll send you an email announcing the upcoming book-of-the-month with images, publisher descriptions, and notes from our guest curators. As book lovers ourselves, we get a kick out of that moment of discovery so we’ve created a program that surprises (and hopefully delights) you every month.

What if I already have one of the upcoming books?

If you already have the book, you can notify us within 7 days of receiving the email announcement by clicking the button at the bottom of the email that says, “Already have this book?”. We will work with you to swap the book for one of similar value that you don’t have.

What is a SWAP?

A SWAP allows you to exchange an upcoming book-of-the-month for another book from our store of similar value (excludes out of print and rare titles). We take a lot of pride in our picks, and only send out titles we sincerely think should be in your library. We believe that one of the best parts of collecting photobooks is discovering artists, styles, and concepts you never knew existed as well as re-discovering work years after it's been on your shelf. Swaps must be submitted within 7 days after recieving the email announcement for the upcoming book-of-the-month. Swaps are currently available for members on the quarterly and annual payment plans (monthly payment plans are not eligible). How did you determine the monthly cost?

These are well-made, tangible objects. Conversations about the subjective value of art aside, our monthly picks vary in size and value (ranging between $40 and $90 per book). We carefully curate a yearly selection of 12 books that have an average retail cost equal to—and often greater than—what you're paying each month. Go month-to-month, or save money by purchasing a quarterly or annual membership.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs and delivery times differ for each country, but we are constantly looking to expand warehouses in new countries to reduce shipping rates. We use only use tracked and/or signed shipping services from the USPS, Royal Mail, DHL, and DPD for visibility and fast delivery of your books. Our books are packed with custom fitting, waterproof materials to ensure the books arrived undamaged. Can I give a book-club membership as a gift?

Of course! Check out our gift membership page and choose between three, six, or twelve month options. One book will be delivered each month, following our subscription release schedule. Then, pour yourself a glass of something boozy and pat yourself on the back for being an impeccable gift-giver. Can I cancel my membership?

Sure! We’ll be sad to see you go, but you’re welcome to manage or cancel your membership any time through your individual customer portal. Cancelations must be take place prior to the renewal of your membership. Depending on your payment plan, your renewal payments process on the 1st of the appropriate month.
