Cara Foresta
by Guido Gazzilli

After fleeing from a city that tired his very soul out, it is in the heart of the woods
that Guido can find himself again: there he deeply listens to the nearby creatures,
and learns how to let go of the weight of his darkest years, marked by the shadowy spiral of the relationship with his father.

While among the trees, shards of memories resurface from his childhood, when his
father, lost in his illness yet surprisingly calm in the forest, offered him a direction.
In town, he makes the acquaintance of Victoria, an unexpected and yet necessary
presence. He asks her to follow him in to the forest, and she trustfully accepts the
invitation, and allows herself to be led in that realm, where pain meets salvation.
Their union takes shape in that silent world: it grows, takes roots and eventually
it gives birth to a new life. Both laying on a welcoming ground, Guido feels the presence of a possible future, awaiting.

Once a safe retreat, the forest now becomes the place for a new beginning.
